This is a totally restored original US WWII M1 helmet with chinstraps that has been converted to represent the rare M2 paratrooper model worn by the US Army airborne units during WWII. This M2 helmet conversion has been conducted with painstaking detail, such as the use of actual shuttle loomed 20/2 mercerized yarn olive drab #3 chinstrap webbing. All of which were made on the only functional original WWII era shuttle looms in existence.
