CUSTOM MADE ARTEFAKE!
Aged US WWII Army Paratrooper M2 Airborne Helmet & Liner with Removable Chinstrap (Original Components)
Take the initiative and have me build YOU the ARTFAKE paratrooper helmet that you want.
These are original US WWII M-1 helmet shell and liner restored as an M-2 airborne helmet specifications with original M-1 helmet accessories for serious collectors and displays. This M-2 paratrooper helmet comes complete with removable liner strap, original rebuilt Westinghouse para liner and accessories.
It will include:
US WWII McCord M2 helmet shell (front seam) & US M-1C paratrooper airborne Westinghouse helmet liner (with frontal eyelet hole)
The M2 helmet has been totally restored with exterior paint, cork textured, & D bale chinstrap loops. It has aged airborne chinstraps with raw steel snaps (with early buckle and J hook), helmet net and early war removable liner strap with green painted steel hardware.
The shell used will be an early model McCord. If available, early production number helmets, ones with the signature additional "spot welds" on the sides, will be used. Care will be used to try to preserve their visibility and they can range from double digit to 600 series.
The M1C liner provided with this helmet is a true wartime Westinghouse. It has been totally restored with original HBT cloth suspension, which includes: upper suspension, lace cord, back strap, single piece nape strap, internal airborne snaps and actual shuttle-loomed OD #7 A straps with green painted cast buckles (factory installed). It also includes the aforementioned removable leather liner strap, quartermaster tag, and an original leather chin cup with sewn chamois lining.
This is a true "one of a kind" item that will pass the most intense inspections. If you are after a piece that looks as if it has stood the test of time (for the past 60 years)... this is it!
Please note that "aging" helmets and liners is a bit of an art form and there may be some variations, but be assured that if you like what you see in the pics, you'll LOVE what you get in person.
To make an item worthy of passing the most intense inspection, time is needed. So bear in mind that assembly time for one of these items will take a couple of weeks beyond normal production.
Please contact me personally if you have any questions. All I can say, is that the end result is well worth the wait.
