WWII US Army Original M1 Infantry or M1C Paratrooper Airborne Helmet Net - OD 7 Cotton

(NET ONLY... HELMET NOT INCLUDED)

These are original WWII era M1 helmets nets, most likely British produced, that we obtained many years ago.  Most are in excellent condition and were never used, but a few obviously were, as some had scrim and various holes in them.   They are the real deal and we included detailed pics to show them as they are appear in their bundles and when on a helmet.

Based on photographic evidence, this style net was widely used by US units for the invasion landings in Europe, as the US developed helmet net was not yet issued.  These nets are 100% cotton, OD #7 in colour, and, depending on how hard you stretch them, have an estimated 3/4" spacing between holes.  This particular M-1 helmet net has a draw string and is easily tucked between the M-1 helmet shell and liner. This style of net saw wide use by both infantry, airborne and support units and can be also be referenced as the style used in the TV series BAND OF BROTHERS.
