This is a totally restored original US M1 helmet, liner with accessories that has been converted to represent the standard Vietnam War M1 infantry model worn by the US Army units during Vietnam. This M1 helmet conversion has been conducted with painstaking detail, such as the use of original “Anchor” brand airborne chinstraps and use of primarily original components and accessories.

This particular helmet represents the standard model, which would have been used in combat operations.

This restored and converted original WWII M1 helmet is complete for sale as shown and includes the following

  • Original US M1 helmet shell (original paint finish)
  • Sand textured
  • Swivel bale chinstrap loops
  • US M1 P55 style helmet liner 
  • Olive drab #7 duck cloth suspension (original)
    • Upper suspension (original cloth)
    • A washers and rivets
    • Nape strap (original with QM stamp)
    • Sweatband / Headband with six clips (original with QM stamp)
    • T-1 Infantry chinstraps (original with flat buckle with claw hook attachment)
