WWII US Army Signal Corps SCR-536 Hand Held Walkie Talkie Radio Transceiver - Fully Functonal

WWII US Army Signal Corps SCR-536 Hand Held Walkie Talkie Radio Transceiver - Fully Functional

The US WWII Army Signal Corps SCR-536 hand held transceiver was one of the first portable two-way radios. Developed in 1940, it was used extensively in US operations North Africa, Italy, Sicily and Normandy. Infantry companies usually had a minimum of six “walkie talkies”; one for each of the three rifle platoons, two for the weapons platoon, and one for the company commander.

This listing is for one fully functional reproduction hand radio unit, each of which have a modern eight channel Family Radio Service (FRS) receiver and transmitter. An FRS is a private, two-way, short-distance voice and data communications service for facilitating family and group activities with a hand held device. This is great short-distance, two-way voice communication that can extend to about a mile and half in open ground.

Three AA batteries are required for each hand-set (not included).

All featured uniforms are remnants of the innumerable various clothing runs we have produced over the past ten years.  They are now available at a very attractive discounted price.  All these wonderful pieces of clothing are either one of our earlier productions, demo models, film and theatre production overruns, items made by garment manufacturing houses no longer in existence, which do not match our new product line, or are simply clothing patterns we no longer make.

Take a look around and discover some great reproduction WWII era clothing at fantastic prices.  You might also find some unique gems that no other vendors are currently producing.

The price discount being offered is not because of lower quality or defect.  It is because we simply need the room for our new Allied uniform and equipment line and additional space to operate our M1 helmet webbing shuttle looms.  There are not many of each model, sizes are limited and often there is just one piece remaining.  If there is a defect, which is usually just shelf-wear, that will be listed in the description.

A few of the items within the German uniform range are even higher quality than the product line we now produce, which is not only excellent, but the most consistent we have ever offered.  On some uniforms, there may be a few slight variances of the shade of the wool used.  That is to be expected after making these for over a decade.
