WWII USMC Reproduction Marine Corps M1917 Helmet with Liner and EGA – Textured Finish

WWII USMC Reproduction Marine Corps M1917 Helmet with Liner and EGA – Textured Finish

This is a reproduction of the early model WWII USMC M1917 Helmet with transitional pre-war leather covered liner, khaki webbed chinstraps and aluminium framed liner. It comes complete as shown with WWI era United States Marine Corps Eagle, Globe and Anchor (EGA) insignia mounted in the crest.  The leather M1917 liners are one size fits all.

The USMC EGA insignia is specially made just for these helmets and fairly expensive to create. They are bronze casts of an actual WWI era USMC Eagle Globe and Anchor with the correct seated Eagle and not a modern subdued piece of insignia. They even have the correct WWI era screw-back, nut and washer for fastening.

These helmets were still widely used during the early months of WWII.
